The story

Why this exists.

Alastair watched too many good companies burn millions on AI projects that never shipped. He decided to fix that.

CHAPTER 01 · AGE 8 TO 14

Code at 8. IBM at fourteen.

Alastair started writing code at age 8 and never stopped. By 14, his first startup had formed a strategic partnership with IBM. That was not a school project. That was real enterprise technology, real contracts, real deliverables. That same relentless drive carried through 21+ years of building, shipping, and leading technology across Xbox, NBC, CBS, MSN, and 41 countries.

CHAPTER 02 · THE FLASH YEARS

Before the web knew what it wanted.

In the early 2000s, Alastair was pioneering immersive interfaces when the web was still figuring out what it wanted to be. Those years building rich interactive experiences became the foundation for everything that followed, including designing prototypes for Xbox. The creative instinct came first. The engineering discipline came from shipping it.

CHAPTER 03 · UNDER PRESSURE

Xbox deadlines. Broadcast stakes.

At Xbox, he learned what it takes to ship under impossible timelines. At NBC, CBS, and MSN, he learned what happens when technology fails under real-world pressure. Those lessons now protect your company from the same expensive mistakes.

CHAPTER 04 · THE CHAIR

Every stage. Every table.

Boards want a human who signs their name to opinions. Investors need a technology narrative they can underwrite. From pre-seed founders who need someone to say "kill that AI project" to Series B+ companies preparing for acquisition, he has sat in the advisory chair at every stage and delivered results. One client went from $80K to $6M in monthly revenue on the architecture he designed. Another closed their Series B eight weeks after he restructured their roadmap.

Alastair Monte Carlo

FOUNDER · AI STRATEGY ADVISOR & FRACTIONAL CTO
The principal

The advisor who signs his name.

Started coding at age 8. Formed a strategic partnership with IBM at age 14. Delivered Xbox prototypes under impossible deadlines. Shipped media technology for NBC and CBS across enterprise systems. Grew a client from $80K to $6M in monthly revenue. Now advises boards and founders on AI strategy, agentic workflow implementation, and regulatory compliance across 41 countries. Leads every engagement personally. Holds AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud certifications. Your board gets a named human advisor with accountability, not a junior or a generated summary.

What separates Alastair from most fractional CTOs is product creative direction. He directed creative for entertainment platforms at Shady Records and Interscope Records, built product experiences for luxury retail at H Lorenzo in Los Angeles, and created a globally deployed luxury fashion technology brand from zero with 120+ translated pages across five languages. Brand system architecture, design system direction, and product UX strategy are CTO capabilities here, not separate design services.

The partner

Defense-grade, on every engagement.

Alastair's business partner holds Top Secret security clearance and brings the same defense-grade methodology that protects national security assets to your commercial stack. One client unlocked three enterprise contracts after their security audit. SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR compliance is not an afterthought here. It is the foundation.

Your competitors hire one generalist. You get a strategic AI advisor with media and enterprise credentials, plus a PhD from the Department of Defense. Both are included in every engagement. Both sign their names to their opinions.

PERSONAL FILE

Fujairah over Dubai.

Less noise, better signal. Most productive hours are before 6am with black coffee and an open terminal. Still plays Pokemon Silver when debugging gets existential. Spends too much time in Matsumoto and not enough in meetings, which is probably why the architecture tends to work.

Three principles

What separates this from every consultant you have tried.

"If it cannot ship with your team and your budget, it is fiction."

You have probably hired consultants who delivered beautiful slide decks that never shipped. That will not happen here. Every roadmap comes with 90-day milestones, resource requirements, and an execution plan your engineers can start on Monday.

"While you debate, your competitor ships. I end the debate."

The gap between prepared and unprepared grows exponentially. Every quarter of indecision costs you.

"Boards demand a human who signs their name. That is what I do."

Every engagement is measured by recovered AI investment, secured funding rounds, and teams that can execute without me. The goal is to make myself unnecessary. That is how you know it worked.

The Gulf

Embedded where the budgets are sovereign.

The GCC is now one of the fastest-moving AI and technology markets on the planet, and Alastair is embedded in it. From Vision 2030 digital transformation programs in Saudi Arabia to smart city infrastructure in the UAE, he advises founders, boards, and sovereign wealth fund portfolio companies on AI strategy decisions that regulators in DIFC, ADGM, and SAMA will scrutinize. If you are building AI, fintech, or enterprise SaaS for the Gulf market, you need an advisor who has operated there, not someone reading about it from a London office.

When your investors or enterprise buyers ask "who is advising your technology?" these are the names that end the conversation. All credentials verifiable via agency contact.

Diagnose in week one. Ship in month one. Prove ROI by month three.

No six-month discovery phases. No reports that sit in Notion. If a CEO needs to hear that their tech stack is a liability, Alastair will say it on day one, not day ninety. That directness is why founders keep coming back.
