Robotics deployment & advisory · operational-layer AI, delivered on real floors

Robots are cheap. Deployments are not.

The hardware works. What fails is everything around it: the site survey nobody did, the elevator that will not talk to the fleet, the union conversation held too late, the pilot designed to demo instead of to measure. AAMC runs robotics programs the way boards need them run: instrumented, defensible, and economically honest.

Where we deploy

Four floors we know by heart.

Hospitality · Hotels & Resorts

Hotels.

Delivery and concierge robotics that survive contact with a real property, not a trade-show booth.

  • Property mapping and navigation surveys: corridors, thresholds, service lifts, dead zones
  • Elevator integration: API and retrofit paths for the major lift OEMs, fallback protocols when integration is refused
  • Front-of-house choreography: guest-facing behavior, branding, escalation to human staff
  • Fleet economics: per-delivery cost against night-staff loading, honest payback windows
Humanoid Programs

Humanoids.

Platform selection and pilot governance for general-purpose humanoids, run with clearance-grade documentation discipline.

  • Platform due diligence across the major humanoid vendors, matched to task profile
  • Pilot design with kill conditions, safety cases, and insurer-ready documentation
  • Workforce integration: roles, training, and the labor conversation done properly
  • Board reporting: unit economics per task-hour, not vendor demo reels
Industrial · Manufacturing & Logistics

Factories.

AMR fleets, cobots, and inspection automation woven into lines that cannot stop for experiments.

  • Line surveys and material-flow mapping before any vendor conversation
  • AMR fleet orchestration, traffic rules, and WMS/MES integration paths
  • Cobot cell design with safety certification strategy
  • Maintenance reality: spares, uptime SLAs, and technician training pipelines
Food Service · Restaurants & F&B

Restaurants.

Service and kitchen automation that holds up on a Friday night, chosen against margins, not hype.

  • Front-of-house service robots: routing, table mapping, guest experience design
  • Kitchen automation triage: what to automate first per concept and volume
  • Multi-site rollout playbooks for groups and franchises
  • Labor-model redesign so automation adds covers instead of chaos
Research · humanrobot2030.org

The 2030 human-robot coexistence model.

AAMC's standing research program on human-robot coexistence economics: where humanoid labor crosses wage lines, which verticals absorb it first, and what that does to org design between now and 2030. The economic model, the data, and the working paper live at humanrobot2030.org.

Engagement structures

Three ways to buy judgment.

Deployment Readiness Audit.

from $15,000
fixed fee · 3 weeks
  • On-site survey and mapping review (one property or line)
  • Vendor landscape matched to your task profile
  • Integration reality check: lifts, doors, Wi-Fi, WMS, safety
  • Board-ready go/no-go memo with honest unit economics
Request the Audit
Most Engaged

Pilot Program Counsel.

from $60,000
per pilot · 90 days
  • Everything in the audit, executed into a live pilot
  • Pilot design with kill conditions and measurement plan
  • Vendor negotiation and contract review at your side
  • Weekly instrumentation reviews, final board report
Scope a Pilot

Deployment Retainer.

from $12,500
monthly · multi-site programs
  • Standing counsel across your rollout portfolio
  • Quarterly economics reviews against the original case
  • Vendor management and escalation authority
  • Direct line to Alastair for time-critical calls
Discuss a Retainer

Figures are indicative starting points; every engagement is scoped and fixed in writing before work begins. Travel to GCC and APAC sites included in scope; remote-first for North America.

How a deployment runs

Five phases. No surprises.

Phase 01Survey

Floors walked, lifts tested, Wi-Fi mapped, staff interviewed.

Phase 02Case

Unit economics modeled against your labor reality, not vendor decks.

Phase 03Pilot

90 days, instrumented, with kill conditions signed before day one.

Phase 04Verdict

Board report: scale, renegotiate, or stop. All three are wins.

Phase 05Scale

Multi-site playbooks, vendor management, quarterly economics reviews.

Asked constantly

Straight answers up front.

Our elevators are 15 years old. Is integration dead on arrival?

No. Between OEM retrofit modules, third-party bridges, and staged operation (robot rides with a staff escort during a proving period), there is nearly always a path. The audit prices all three against your lift stock before you commit to anything.

When does a humanoid actually pay back?

Today: narrow task profiles with high shift-loading, in markets with wage structures like the GCC, Singapore, and Japan. The honest answer is a spreadsheet, not a keynote, and it is the first thing a pilot produces.

What about our staff?

Deployments fail in the break room before they fail on the floor. Workforce design, role redefinition, and the union conversation where relevant, are inside scope from phase one, not an afterthought.
